End of the year Survey
1. Best book of 2010.
So many books how do I choose. I guess if I have to give an answer it would be Silver Borne by Patricia Briggs author of the Mercy Thompson series. I love this series and have all of the books. I'm in love with the relationship between Mercy and Adam the alpha in town, and all the characters that come and go in Mercy's world. I couldn't put it down I devoured the book.
2. Worst book of 2010.
I'm pretty good at staying away from the stinkers trial and error. So I can't say I've read a book that bad that it would be consisdered as the worst.
3. Most disappointing book of 2010.
I would have to say Thirst by Christopher Pike. The concept was different and refreshing. Using Hindu gods to base the mythology of vampires seemed interesting. But when you once you start reading it becomes clear though the idea was new and refreshing it was not executed well I was so turned off I didnt even finish the book.
4. Most suprising book (in a good way) in 2010.
Hands down Infinity by Sherrilyn Kenyon its part of the Chronicles of Nick series this is her YA debut. She also writes an adult series the dark hunters . From this series she created a seperate storyline for Nick Gautier one of the secondary characters from her dark hunter series, and made him the main character. The story takes back in to when Nick was a teenager. I can't wait for the next book in 2011.
5. Book you recommended most to people in 2010.
Let's see I recommended the most Silver Borne by Patricia Briggs, of the Mercy Thompson series.
6. Best series discovered in 2010.
The Chicagoland vampires series by Chloe Neill. Its nice to see strong characters written in a realistic way.
7. Favourite new Authors of 2010.
I would have to say Chloe Neill, her writing is honset and tongue in check at times especailly between Merit and her best friend Mallory you could feel the geniune friendship between two people who have known each for a long time.
8. Most Hilarous read of 2010.
Prada & Prejudice , though it was a retelling of Pride and Prejudice . It had me giggling on a few occcassions.
9. Most thrilling Unputdownable book in 2010.
I would have to say Infinity by Sherrilyn Kenyon I read it non-stop untill i couldn'tt keep my eyes open.
10. Book you anticipated the most in 2010.
Silver Borne by Patricia Briggs even though I said Infinity was my most unputdownable I wasn't looking foward to that book because it was an unkown, but the Mercy Thompson series was already a well established series.
11. Favorite Cover of a book you read in 2010.
Jealousy by Lili St. Crow and Silver Borne by Patricia Briggs
12. Most memorable character in 2010.
Dru Anderson of the strange angels series , she down to earth a bit of a tomboy she has no clue how pretty she is the effect it has on the opposite sex. Which makes her awesome by a thousand degrees.
13. Most beautifully written book in 2010.
Impossible by Nancy Werlin, hands down it may not have been the most action packed filled with vampires and werewolves but it was really good in my humble opinion.
14. Book that had the greatest impact on you in 2010.
Saddly I haven't come across such a book this year maybe next year. Since I'm widening my selection of book to be read.
15. Book you can't believe you waited untill 2010 to finally read
Most of my books I read right away, the few I'm on the fence about I don't purchase untill I'm actually going to read. More space on my book shelf for my must haves books.
