I was really excited when I saw this video I thought to myself finally this is the reason I joined the vloging community. I mean there have been other discussion videos out there but I guess since there was an established following I hesitated to take part, but no more. I no longer want to sit and just watch, but join in.
As a "mature YA reader" I agreed with a lot of the points both Stacey and Jessica made. I don't see anything wrong with reading Young Adult books, I'm a firm believer if the story is good and interests you it doesn't matter what genre its from. Though Stacey made a valid point about the immaturity of some characters in YA fiction.
The reason I gravitate to YA is because the possibilities are endless the adventures, the worlds explored, the characters can be whatever the imagination can conjure up. I like that I can travel from the comfort of my bedroom to say the dystopian world of XVI. My YA experience has been positive. I go into it more in my video which I will link at the bottom. In short I love YA, I'm sorry if my post is not in depth. I'm sick and feel like crap but I just loved this video because I could relate to the discussion personally.
