I was scratching my brain trying to think of a topic for today, ideas don't grow on trees you know, lol. It would be nice if they did, I think every creative person would have at least one tree in their house. Okay, I'm rambling back to toady's topic. As I was saying I was scratching my brain to come up with a post, and stumbled across this meme. In my search for inspiration or perhaps a meme, which ever came first. Tada! I found Fragment Friday. A meme created by Book Chic where you read a little snippet out of a book you're currently reading, have read in the past, or about to read . Without giving any spoilers away. So here goes.
A kiss in Time by Alex Flinn
If I hear one more syllable about spindles, I shall surely die! From my earliest memory, the subject has been worn to death in the castle, nay, in the kingdom. It is said that spindle, rather than Mama or Papa, was my first word in infancy, and I have little doubt that this is true, for 'tis the word which lights more frequently than any other upon my most unwilling ears.
"Talia, dearest, you must never touch a spindle," Mother would say as she tucked me into bed at night.
"I will not, Mother"
