My rating system for the books I read.

I am by no means a snob when it comes to literature. As long as there is a story. I can forgive annoying characters, lack luster description. But the story has to be able to shine through even with those failings. When I crack open a book I want to be transported to another place, another time. Forget all the stress of the real world because that's the power of a good book. When it works its powerful these books become your classics.

I know as a reader you have come across books that are staples in your library that you have gone back and re-read many times. List them below in the comments the books that are your staples. I think it would be interesting to see what others have read. One of my staples is The lovely Bones by Alice Sebold.

The books I've read fall into three categories. The good, the bad,and the ugly. Lol, I just made a Clint Eastwood reference back to topic. Which I have graded on a 1-5 rating system. Five being the best and one being the worst.

5- Highly recommended.
4- Really liked it.

3- It was okay - Decently written book.
2- HATED it - weak writing. major flaws.
1- Not worth your time.
