This post was inspired by a YouTube video I saw the other day, and it really resonated with me. The subject was asking about your reading habits? How many books do you read at a time, one or multiples? what do you read? When do you read? And do you take breaks in between books? Personally I have no set reading routine because my routine revolves around my mood. That being said sometimes I can finish a book in a day and half depending on its size. Other times, I maybe reading three books at a time as I currently am. I know some readers don't agree with this method because it seems chaotic. But there is a method to my madness you see my attention span is microscopic, and if I'm reading a book that drags on. I'll usually start another. Although I don't always follow this rule its one I'm most strict about once I crack the book open I have to finish it. You guys know what I mean. It will take me forever to finish because the motivation isn't there but I will finish it.
What about you, do you struggle with the snoozer books like me? Tell in the comments below I want to hear about your experiences. If they're similar to mine.
As for the genre of books I read there are varied, though right now I'm into a lot of YA (young adult). I do read "adult literature" such as Dan Brown the lost symbol, the girl with the pearl earring by Tracy Chevalier, and non-fiction such as the fortune cookie chronicles by Jennifer 8. Lee., and Lucky by Alice Sebold.
How about you what kind of books do read? Are you strictly a YA purist or do you read other types of genres?
Where do I read? Mostly in my room at night, sometimes during the day when I have time. I do read when I go out to pass the time while traveling on the train, or if I'm at my boyfriend's house. I do take breaks in between reading for the usual necessities of life food, bathroom breaks, and sleep. But if you asking do I take longer breaks between books the answer is yes sometimes I just don't have time If I'm busy with life.
