This Weeks Question: What is your favorite type of art? Or do you happen to have a favorite painting/artist/sculpture/etc.?

I'm a lover of art  a lot of the old stuff appeals to me. They have more soul, and it's not about shock or making a political statement. There are so many to choose its like asking me which of your children do you love more. I finally picked this  is one, because I love it and it's one of my favourites. I discovered it after reading Girl with a pearl earring by Tracy Chevalier. You guessed it painting has the same name.
